Getting started in the Trofeo

Alfa Romeo Trofeo series is a series of "run" a friendly, competitive classic racing driver while keeping the cost of the real level. A car with four kinds of competitions in each establishment, catering for Alfa Romeo cars from standard road passes through Alf to fully modified racecars. Each of our plants is, literally, "four races in one. Whether on the front or the back of the grid, the class of points are at stake. The competition is fierce but clean, with the accent on the friendly rivalry and the pleasure of our Alpha Romeo.

While the competition may be bright, Trofeo series is one of the friendliest and most socially around. Advice and assistance, a colleague of the competitors is never far away, and social events are legendary.

A typical season is contested over 10 race meetings, usually three in Pukekohe, two at the Manfield and five in Taupo. Two grid start races and, if possible, one disadvantage of race attacks in each round. Points are awarded for both the class and for the overall championship.

This brochure has been written to help potential new competitors in the series. We hope that will help to clarify the rules and regulations governing racing and perhaps to answer a few questions that no new competition will of course respond.

If you have further questions, please ask one of the Committee of the Trofeo Series, or none of the competitors, we will be glad Trofeo Series will help, or if you can't, we will directly to someone who can. Members of the Committee's contact details are on the page contacts Trofeo series pages.
