Installation instructions for the upgrade Turbo VW TDI Golf/Jetta
1. the turbocharger Installation is simple, and the procedure is almost identical with the replacement unit. The only exception concerns the EGR cooler port exhaust manifold (see Figure 2). Follow the procedure turbocharger Exchange in the manual service factory of Volkswagen. Anti-seize compound is recommended for studs: exhaust system in order to facilitate the removal, if necessary. Remember to connect the VNT vacuum actuator and electric connector. 2. the port of EGR cooler, or will have to be blocked (and the cooler removed), or the tube Garrett ERG will have to be used in conjunction with turbocharger. Part number is shown below. The set contains a unique EGR tubes and 2 gaskets. Contact your distributor for availability. See fig. 3. Garrett EGR tube assembly: 3 795496-0001. If the port is locked, only a simple plate with integral or suitable seals. This plate is also a convenient location of the EGT thermocouple or probe. Block off this port requires removing the EGR cooler and blocking port departure as well. Note: vehicles with emissions changed equipment may not be legal in your State Highway. Consult local laws. 4. in order to implement the upgrade potential of the Turbo, it is recommended that you upgrade to the fuel injectors and tuning of the engine. Consult with a specialist TDI for guidelines and recommendations. 5. Change oil and filter before starting the engine. It is recommended that you regularly make a 3000-mile oil change with a high quality oil-diesel, as pure oil is essential for the performance of turbocharger and durability.Download
