1993 Suzuki Swift engine performance adjustments

MECHANICAL engine before making any adjustments to the vehicle fuel or ignition system, make sure that it's okay, engine mechanical condition. VALVE CLEARANCE Note: Swift DOHC uses hydraulic lifters. No adjustments are required.
Samurai And Sidekick
1) Remove the valve cover. Rotate the engine until the zero mark timings of degree (TDC) coverage of the collapse timescales belt, a character on the crankshaft pulley. (See Figure 1). 2) ensure the cylinder No. 1 TDC on the compression stroke. Remove the Distributor Cap. Samurai and Sidekick (TBI), make sure that the rotor is pointed upwards at the Distributor hold down bolts and Terminal No. 1 of the Distributor Cap. The Sidekick (MPI), ensure that the rotor is about 1 o'clock Position and pointed out no. 1 Terminal distributor Cap. If the rotor is not as described, rotate 360 degrees crankshaft. 3) measure the valve between the stem bolts and valve adjustments using the shim thickness gauges. Check the inlet Valve clearance of cylinder No. 1 and 2 and the exhaust cylinder valve clearance No. 1 and 3. See table valve CLEARANCE specifications. 4) Turn the crankshaft, one complete revolution (360 degrees). Check the cylinder inlet Valve clearance No. 3 and 4 and gas cylinder valve clearance No. 2 and 4. 5) set a loosening of the screw and including valves, tightening the screws until the space is used as specified. After the latter's temporary adjustment screw/nut tighten, to 13.5 11.0 ft lbs (15-18 n. m) for a Samurai or cal 90-108-pound (10-13 n. m) on the Sidekick. On all models recheck clearance.
