2002 Volvo V70 installation disk brakes
This manual covers vehicles in 2001-2004 Disc brakes-V70, V70 and XC70: XC
1. Elevation and maintenance of the vehicle. Remove the wheel to be serviced.
2. remove the spring flanges (3) carefully so as not to set. See fig. 21.
3. remove the protective caps (1) with two tongues bore (2). See fig. 21.
4. remove the fixing pins using hex Socket 7 mm.
5. remove the Vernier caliper brake from the holder. Snooze Vernier caliper brake safety wire from the front spring to avoid damage to the brake hose. Remove pad assemblies.
Auditing
Note: If the dust boot is corrupted, the dirt may the cylinder, so the Vernier caliper brake must be repaired.
Clean and check the mating surfaces of the brake pad, brake Vernier caliper or the holder of a Vernier caliper.
Check out the piston dust boot. Replace the dust boot is corrupted.
Check disk brake friction. If the disc displays the characters out of TRUE, check his lateral Run-out. See the measurement of the lateral RUN-OUT in the area of control.
Replace the disk, where heavy wear, display signs of variable thickness or similar.
Measure minimum thickness and brake disc check v specification. See the specifications of the DISC.
