Alfa Romeo 156 replacement brake Guide
The following procedure was written 1998 2.0 Twinspark with vented front discs, but it must be the same for all 156 models. The shape of the PADS will vary between Vented and the hard disks on the front. Newer models have larger rear discs and pads differs. It should not matter if we're talking about the standard brake with normal or perforated discs grooves with high-speed road pads — the process is the same. The only difference is that they do not have the front pads wear indicator, so you will have to keep the cable back out of the way if necessary.
I wrote it in the order in which I've changed the brakes. It was the first façade, then rises, and finally to bleed the system completely change the fluid. Remember that new brakes will have to "Fitting in". This means that the application of the brakes hard for roughly 100 miles, or after recommendation with cushions. High performance pads often need special method. Also new in bedding pads on old disks may take a little longer, since they need to "wear" to adapt the old disc shape.
